Self-monitoring plan

MedNiemi’s own plan for monitoring quality of care and safety.

Self-monitoring at MedNiemi

The plan describes MedNiemi’s operating principles, responsibilities and procedures for monitoring care quality and safety. Helena Tuomaala-Nieminen is the director responsible for healthcare services. The plan is dated 17 January 2026 in Inkoo.

What does the plan cover?

It covers staff induction and training, premises and equipment, medication, risk identification, patient records and data protection, and handling feedback. Implementation is monitored and the plan is updated annually.

Cleaning and waste management

The care staff carry out daily cleaning according to THL guidelines. PiKa Puhtaus Oy provides weekly cleaning. Hazardous waste is separated into sharps (collection container) and amalgam waste (amalgam separator). Lindström is called to collect hazardous waste when needed. Expired medicines are taken to a pharmacy.

Feedback

According to the plan, feedback can be left in the clinic’s feedback box, by email or verbally. Feedback is discussed during internal staff training and used to assess possible changes to the service.
